PARADOX is one of Norway’s leading film production companies, and was established in 1998 by director Erik Poppe and producer Finn Gjerdrum. In 2018 the company became part of SF Studios, Sweden. We have produced and co-produced more than 40 feature films and have participated three times in the main competition at the Berlinale, had films in Cannes, and Toronto, and been shortlisted for the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2017. In 2020, Paradox began producing TV series, with a comedy drama for HBO as its first project., and has delivered series to Amazon Prime. Our ambition as a company is to continue to develop films and series of high artistic quality that reach a wide audience. This places high demands on ourselves, the people we collaborate with, and the stories we choose to tell. In other words, we are always looking for the highest quality in both people and stories. The company is run by experienced producers Tanya Nanette Badendyck and Finn Gjerdrum.
