It’s finally summer and Junior dreams of a cool, red bike. At the same time, Twigson meets the birch branch named Karoline, and finds out that girls are not so stupid after all. But one evening Juniors mother does not come home from work as agreed. It turns out that she has been in an accident. At the crime scene, Junior finds a mysterious track on the side of the road. While mother is in the hospital, Junior and Twigson decide to find out what really happened. But neither Phillip, Dad, nor the police seem to understand how important it is to Junior and Twigson. In the end, Junior has had enough, and runs away from home with Twigson to solve the case alone.
